I define myself as an artist with a pen and journal in hand (or keyboard in front of me) as the natural world drives my inspiration to write and create. Here you'll find my poetry/prose/creative non-fiction, photography, digital storytelling digging into my experience as the first in my family to graduate from college (this dovetails into my first gen advocacy work), magazine and newspaper pieces, spoken word, and even podcasting where I explore my role in libraries.
